You’d think I wouldn’t have much laundry to do since it is just the three of us. If only that was the case. It seems like there is always a load or two that needs to be taken care of. Thankfully my sweet husband will throw a load in without me even having to ask. While I’m grateful for that, he always uses soooo much detergent. I’m the kind of person that reads labels and carefully measures things so of course this drives me nuts. I may or may not have given the poor guy a demonstration on properly measuring detergent the last time I opened a new bottle. Okay…you know I did.
When Purex sent me their new Purex PowerShot detergent to try I was probably more excited than I should have been. Have you heard about it yet? The bottle automatically dispenses the perfect amount of laundry detergent each and every time. Problem solved! The hubby was instantly a fan. No more laundry measuring lectures around this house. Its concentrated formula also makes it ideal for washing his work clothes.
All you have to do is open the cap, flip the bottle upside down, and then flip it right side up to dispense the perfect amount. If you have a large or extra dirty load just give it one extra flip. Easy peasy. Since it does all the measuring by itself I don’t end up with a sticky laundry detergent cap anymore either.

Often we do laundry through the week in the evening a load or two at a time. I had a friend in high school whose parents renovated their walkout basement with a bedroom suite for the two teenage girls and included a laundry area. They were responsible for doing all their laundry in their last two years in high school which was probably a great learning opportunity for college and life. They are both very successful.
