That’s it. I just can’t help myself. I only want to make cards that pop up. It is just so much fun and the Silhouette makes it oh so easy. Isn’t this card darling though? The 3d blocks are just the right touch for a baby card. I like how the outside piece of card stock is cut larger to give it a bit of a border. The scalloped edge adds even more softness to this sweet card.

I used this card design from the Silhouette Design Store. Since I didn’t want to cut and glue a ton of little pieces I made the blocks a print and cut design. I love using printable backgrounds on projects like this. It is like having whatever scrapbook paper I need right at my fingertips. This printable background with the blue circles is called “summer papers”.

Although the onesie design that came with the card is cute, I just had to use this momma and baby elephant design instead. I used a sketch pen to draw some of the cut lines on grey cardstock and then cut the outline. So, so sweet!

When it came to decorating the front of the card, a banner seemed like the right fit. I used this banner design and wrote “Welcome To The World” in cupcake block sketch font. A sketch pen would have looked great, but I decided to use print and cut for this since I was already doing it for the blocks.

Do you know what my favorite thing about pop up cards is? They’re so sneaky. They make it look like I’ve spent a ton of time making them. But nope. Same amount of love goes into them…just not a ton of time. Works for me!
