My in-laws live on the East Coast so we’re lucky to spend lots of time near the ocean with them when we visit. I thought I’d send my mother in law a fun little something to tell her how excited I am that the time is getting closer. I’m not much of a paper crafter, but as soon as I spotted this Nautical Box Card by Lori Whitlock I knew I had to try it.

Do you like my super cheesy “Sea you soon”? I just couldn’t help myself! Thank goodness for the Silhouette sketch pens. You do not want to see my handwriting.

I don’t think a helm and anchor are supposed to be cute, but these miniature ones definitely are. I love how box cards look so over the top and time consuming. Honestly though, as long as the Silhouette is doing all the cutting they are nothing but fun to put together.

It even folds up nicely to fit inside an a2 envelope.

I hope it brings a smile to her face. I know I had fun putting it together. Have you seen the box card designs in the Silhouette Online Store? I’m thinking I need to try more!
