Why I’m Never Ditching The Baby Wipes

We’re way past the diaper stage (thank goodness!), but I have no plans of ditching the baby wipes. Why would I? This momma likes to keep things nice and clean. Unfortunately, my four year old and I aren’t on the same page. He is one wild, sticky mess of a boy.

So, I try to roll with it. The crazy messy moments are often the most memorable ones. But once that moment passes I’m ready to get clean. That’s why I keep wipes everywhere. My husband used to think I was borderline cuckoo. Every time I’d whip out a package of wipes he would lovingly joke “You and your wipes…” while throwing a bit of side eye my way. That is, until I “forgot” them a few times and he realized how necessary they are for life with a four year old. No one likes to be touched with the mystery goop their child found in the shopping cart…no one.

Here’s how we use wipes to clean up our messy moments:

  • In The Car

They’ve come in handy more times than I could count. Since we take a lot of road trips we’re often eating or snacking in the car. A quick wipe helps get hands clean before eating and another one takes care of the crumbs when we’re all done. Obviously, they’re great for cleaning up small spills too. I can’t travel without them.

  • Creative Fun

When you think craft supplies you probably don’t think baby wipes…but you should! Creativity can be messy. Wipes have earned a spot in the top drawer of my craft desk. They’re perfect for cleaning up whatever crafty messes I get myself into.

  • Eating Out

Someone always spills something. Wiping it up right away keeps it from becoming an out of control stain. And even if the little one has just washed his hands, an extra wipe down once we’re at the table is always a good idea. Who knows what he’s touched (probably everything) on our way from the bathroom to the table. Once he’s done eating the evidence of his love of dipping sauces is pretty obvious so I take another wipe and clean up his sweet little face. We eat, we bring wipes.

  • Mom’s Favorite Makeup Remover

I keep my own package of wipes handy. They make the best makeup removing wipes. Not only are they larger and more durable than most makeup removers, but they’re so gentle on my face. WaterWipes are chemical free since they’re made with 99.9% purified water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. I trust them on my son’s skin, so why wouldn’t I use them on mine? The National Eczema Association has even awarded them the Seal of Acceptance. I love knowing that I’m making good choices when it comes to cleaning and caring for my family’s skin.

I’m at Target all the time so I was thrilled to find WaterWipes alongside the rest of the baby wipes. I have never seen expiration dates on other wipes, but I love that WaterWipes includes this on their packages. All it takes is a quick look to make sure my wipes are nice and fresh. They don’t have preservatives so they’ll keep for up to 15 months when they’re sealed. To keep WaterWipes sterile, they aren’t interfolded and should be kept in their original packaging. An open package should be used within a month, but a package of wipes would never last that long around here!

If you adore Target as much as I do you’ll want to enter this contest for a chance to win a $100 Target gift card! You have until December 4th to enter. Good luck!
