It sure has been quiet around here hasn’t it? We spent the last couple of weeks in North Carolina with my husband’s family. I had every intention of posting while we were there, but all that family time was too precious to miss a moment of. Thanks to my in laws we got to relax and spend time together in a house by the beach. As if that wasn’t enough, we were spoiled by their cooking too. Between my father in law’s Italian and my mother in law’s Russian we were eating well! I wish I had pictures to share, but we were too eager to inhale all of that goodness. You’ll have to take my word for it though. Everything was delicious!
My husband’s grandma was able to visit all the way from Russia. This was the first time our son and I had met her. I had a lovely time with her and felt her love immediately. It only reinforced the fact that I am so blessed to be a part of my husband’s family. They are some of the most loving, caring, and giving people I’ve met outside of my own family. I couldn’t have done any better if I had hand picked them myself.
Surprisingly, we barely took any pictures. I’ll share this one with you that pretty much sums up our lovely trip: loads and loads of glorious family time. Time talking, time laughing, time doing nothing but enjoying each others company. As usual, we already miss them and can’t wait to do it again.
