When it comes to Disney, I have a lot of favorites. But my absolute-without-a-doubt favorite ride is the Haunted Mansion. Incredible details, comfy ride, catchy song…what’s not to love?!

I needed some Haunted Mansion at home, especially with Halloween coming up. When I found this chalkboard tombstone sign I knew it was what this project needed. But there was no way I was going to use chalk to write the whole thing. Instead, I pulled out my Silhouette CAMEO and white adhesive vinyl to make my Haunted Mansion sign.

Since I wanted it to be as Haunted Mansion like as possible I used the Ravenscroft font I downloaded from here. It’s a beautiful font inspired by lettering found around the Haunted Mansion. I simply typed it up in Silhouette Studio and cut it out of white adhesive vinyl. Super, duper easy.

This is the first part of the narration you hear when you enter the Haunted Mansion ride. Any other Disney fans read it and automatically hear it in the Ghost Host’s voice?

While this doesn’t exactly replace a ride in a doombuggy, it’s a fun way to add a DIY piece of Disney to my home.

Until next time, foolish mortals ;)

What an awesome Halloween decoration! I’ll have to try making one of these this year with quotes from my favorite scary films. Thanks for sharing!
