So I picked up a super simple wall clock. Naturally, it needed some sprucing up since I planned to put it above my craft desk.
I started taking the clock apart by unscrewing the back. Once it was open the clock hands popped right off. I measured how big I needed the face to be and created my shape in the Silhouette Studio. I added some shapes I liked, filled them in, and rearranged them. Then I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette to create the new clock face.
With a little bit of adhesive, I stuck it over the original clock face. All I had left to do was replace the clock hands and then screw the clock back together. Honestly, I went into this project without much of a plan. It was nice to have it go so smoothly!
My favorite part of the clock has to be the craft your heart out sewing machine. Come on, how cute is that?
I love how well the make something awesome today phrase works for this clock. The font I used for the numbers is ed storytime font. You can find the thimble and threaded needle here, the yarn and knitting needles here, and the scissors here. There isn’t a Silhouette Portrait or Cameo shape in the online store is there? One of you lovely and talented designers totally needs to make that happen pretty please!
Did you make something awesome today? I’d love to hear about what you’ve been creating!
This is so so cool! I really want one of my own!
Thanks Kim!
